How to Choose Sign Standoffs

Sign standoffs create a controlled distance between a panel and the wall. Choosing the correct size requires more than matching the visible cap.

Read diameter × length

A 12 × 25 mm standoff normally uses a 12 mm barrel diameter and provides approximately 25 mm of wall distance. Confirm the exact measurement diagram on the product page.

Check the panel thickness

The threaded cap or stud must accommodate the glass, acrylic, photograph or sign panel. A thick panel can reduce thread engagement, while an oversized hole can allow movement.

Measure the panel hole

Compare the recommended panel-hole range with the drilled opening. Do not force a threaded stud through a hole that is too small.

Confirm the installation hardware

Some Lantee standoff packages contain the visible standoff components but do not include wall screws or anchors. Read the package-contents section and choose wall fasteners appropriate for the mounting surface.

Count every mounting point

Four mounting points are common, but large or heavy displays may require more. The wall material, panel weight and installation conditions determine the final layout.
